Restaurant bewertenAbsolutely delicious and fresh. best shumai I got it a must!
I had gone on a not so busy feb weekday, I was served by the worst server of the history of eating out. He snatches the plates outf your hands, slams the food on the table, yelling at me for not tipping for his poor services. Even taking extra time to yell down the road that you would be thrown out if you don't tip. I have always generously handed tips but this was so degrading. Average food , cant complain about the rates. But this store should have 1 rating not 4.4 .
The food is really good but the service is abominable. The surly girl at the front barks at the guests instead of welcoming them. They didn’t clear even one plate even after we were done but kept bringing more plates when there was no more room. We had to push the plates aside to make room to sign the bill. They did grab the basket we realized only because it had to be used for another table for the scallion pancakes To boot, an employee was sleeping at the table behind us—-not exactly a nice sight when you are dining.
I went to Excellent Dumpling House on my first visit to NYC and I knew I had to go back the next chance I had! Their pork dumplings are delicious and their spicy beef noodle soup is just absolutely packed with flavor. Their food is super tasty and I will be back any time I'm in NYC!
Excellent Dumpling was my spot for many many years when it was in Chinatown. Due to construction they moved to 23rd Street about 5 years ago. I went there this week for a first time. It's still delicious! The shredded pork with cabbage soup is still yummy. The chicken and broccoli over rice is still an economical comfort food. The dumplings, the Xiao long bao, well that's what they specialize in. Delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed.
