Restaurant bewertenSimple, hearty and cost-effective home kitchen. Without the foot and with the kind humor of the boss.
Sarah G. has already said it all (nearly)! We had lunch at L'Estaminet when we went to Neuvic to see the Tour de France pass through the town. There was plenty of choice, even with the set menus, which were all resaonably priced and our lunches were excellent very filling too! The service was efficient and the ambience was very pleasant the family that runs the restaurant does an excellent job. Neuvic itself is not one of the worlds most famous tourist attractions but it is a pleasant town, with a beach (on a lake), in very attractive and quiet countryside. Well worth a visit if you are travelling nearby and L'Estaminet is a wonderful place for lunch!
On a day out to take family to Neuvic lake, we discovered this lovely little restaurant as our usual one was closed! It was definately their loss as this was a much better find. An extensive menu with plenty of choice with either set menu or a la carte. Our set menu was various salads with charcouterie, followed by steak with a dressed salad and chips which 3 of us had, The other person had trout with vegetables. All dishes were beautifully cooked and presented the steaks were exceptionally tender. One person had cheese, two had lemon tart and I had coffee eclair. The staff were all extremely welcoming even offering to get a bowl of water for our dog who was happy on the cool floor under the table. We will definately be back.
Good little restaurant well received and not expensive
