The people are friendly at this old school fish and chip shop. chips are always good and plentiful though the fish batter has been inconsistent. it's the best for me though around tahunanui/stoke

Disgusting fish and chips. Soaked in fat oil so couldnt eat. Fish was minute pieces covered in thick layer of fat soaked batter. Avoid this place.

Food was average but totally fine, most nelson fish and chips are. I dealt with the nicest young dude, tall guy with big hair! He was awesome. But the old grumpy blonde lady cooking was a straight up bully to the two young teenagers who worked there. I'll never go back and I hope the kids don't come away from working there scarred. Also the whole shop was messy and looked like it hadn't had a clean in months.

Just spent over $40 at this place on bluff oysters and blue cod and chips. They told me after I paid they didn’t have enough oysters so have topped up with scallops and mussels. Got 7 oysters. 2 Scallops and 5 mussels. Oysters were not bluff oysters. No way. Blue cod was not blue cod. Was tiny and judging by the texture, had to have been frozen. Chips were plentiful but tasteless. Ain’t going back.
