Restaurant bewertenWe are locals who chose to celebrate our daughter's upcoming wedding with her future family at S&P. We made reservations for a party of 10. Upon arrival, we were seated at a lovely table. It took a while for our drinks to arrive, but we were enjoying ourselves. Halfway through our meal, we were told by the manager that we were being too loud please remember we were a party of 10. The table behind us was making profane comments at us throughout our meal. The manager tried to move their table, comp them a drink or dessert, but apparently the only solution was for our table to be spoken to like an unruly child. It was very disappointing to see management cater to a two top table who were making rude and inappropriate comments at us, rather than a party of 10 who were celebrating a joyous occasion. We were not drunk, rude or inappropriate in any way. This ruined our evening. We were never offered the opportunity to order a second drink, asked if the food was ok, or offered coffee or dessert! I cannot express how angry and upset we were when we left the restaurant. We have dined at restaurants who have received Michelin stars and are well versed in appropriate dining behavior. Our out of town visitors were shocked by the treatment we received. We have lived in Mystic for 30 years, and frequent the local restaurants on a weekly basis, but we will NEVER return to this establishment. If you want quiet, then don't take reservations for large parties!
Finally made reservations for outside lunch, which possibly is the prettiest patio in town. The cod and swordfish sandwich special were very good, service on point. The plants and flowers are kept impeccable, the view of the bridge top. Good parking if you arrive early. It's definitely a turn and burn touristas spot, if you don't mind that.
Great location but not worth the money. Food took too long to deliver, I have a garlic allergy, they assured me what i ordered was fine and then 20 min later told me it wasnt. They offered to get me house made bread, never delivered. My husbands food took 45 min to get to the table. In addition, when we walked we witnessed the hostess almost gleefully tell potential customers it was a 90 min. Wait. I would not go back, there are so many other restaurants on Mystic that are much better. Don't buy the hype.
My family and I have been coming here since I was little. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is incredible, right along the water. Definately don’t miss it
Really enjoyed our first visit but our most recent visit left so much to be desired. Overcooked steak, which was remade and not the end of the world (though the kitchen should have absolutely known it was well overcooked). Service was what was really lacking. Our server came a total of three times: 1. Take order, 2. Drop off order, 3. Drop off check. I had to pull them over to address the meal issue and they never came back to our table again, even walking by multiple times. A manager brought the new meal, but again, no follow up. Really disappointed, especially because the location, ambiance, and menu is attractive. Not sure if we’ll make a point to go back soon.
