The Drouthy Cobbler - Moray

Together with my friend, we were greeted by someone who smoked a cigarette in the door (I thought honestly, the man is a gas that went out for a smoke), unfortunately the thing was not better after. we were told we can stay an hour. at the table just 35 minutes to be there as we are invisible after we got up and have gone, this to my surprise did not rise up any eyebrows, even if we walk past the chap that put us down. real shame as this is a really nice place, but money can not buy standards and quality service

Took a few customers here as they recommended it and whilst it was very good a little bit of flexibility wouldn't have gone amiss. I opted for the salt and chill squid for starter, but was told they couldn't do a main course mussels so...had to make do for a starter portion instead. Now as much as I love mussels I will concede that they aren't particularly filling, so the homemade chips were a welcome addition if not really what I wanted. Everyone else enjoyed their steaks and the price wasn't too bad.

Really enjoyed our dinner last night with our group of 2. Comfortable and pretty restaurant with attentive staff and relaxed feel. The special of lemon sole was so delicious thank you! We all enjoyed our amazing food, and the whole experience. Thoroughly recommend to all.

Food was absolutely brilliant. Had mussels and a ham hock starter, excellent flavour combinations. Cleverly presented. Very clean, concise and clever cooking. Main courses we had were a lamb cutlets special with some seasonal garnish and my partner had beef short rib which had been...cooked down properly making it very very tender. 2nd visit and it won’t be our last! Staff also very very good. Brilliant atmosphere, busy wee place that just works in each department. Great food served by great front of house staff. Keep doing what your doing.
