Lakeview - Monticello

We've dined here many times and have never been let down. As senior citizens, we find that the portions, along with the salad bar, are always sufficient to satisfy our appetites. While it's definitely an old-fashioned place, we have consistently enjoyed our meals.

We have eaten here several times and usually the catfish is very good. They were small and slightly over cooked tonight. The salad bar is limited but everything seems fresh and the coleslaw is some of the best. Hushpuppies are excellent as well! If you can get a lakeside table it's a nice view. Our server was excellent; however, it took over 30 min to get our entrees even though there were only a few people there. Prices are very reasonable.

It's a charming little restaurant by the water. The food is quite good overall. While the crab cakes were not impressive, everything else made up for it.

Katrina was an incredibly friendly server! The ribeye steak was absolutely delicious!

They say they close at 10:00 Pm. On Friday night. We were there at 8:30 and they were rushing us out the door. Why post a closing time if you don't go by it. Bad management maybe.
