Restaurant bewertenNot just for a meal when coming to the theatre for a show, this sophisticated restaurant without the high prices, is worth a visit. Offering both a full buffet, with a daily soup, salads, entrees and desserts, as well as a la carte menu at times. you won't be disappointed. It is a great destination to relax in beautiful surroundings in between or after shopping at Square One shopping centre across the street, or any other time. Besides the outstanding theatre offerings at the Living Arts Centre, Live Cuisine Restaurant has been hosting very popular Open Mic events on Thursday nights. Check it out! Find out what you have been missing!
Reserved for dinner for 2 before the concert and was very pleased. The service was really good. The buffet food was so fresh and flavorable. There wasn't tons of food but what was there was like home cooking and some of the best we have had. They had a cold salads buffet , Breads , Soup tureen with chicken vegetable soup , Roasts , Salmon , Sides which included fettucine pasta with mushrooms , potatoes, root vegetables and roasted potatoes. There was a cheese and fruit and dessert table. I started off by ordering an appletini and it was the BEST martini i have tasted ! The waitress was very nice. They took your empty plates away quickly and the food was incredible. The roast beef melted in your mouth and the au jus was one of the best we have ever had ..We really enjoyed our meals and left feeling very happy. The price was decent also for an all you can eat buffet of this quality. Very glad we chose this place to eat as we parked early and then just relaxed until time for the show.
Buffets normally equal quantity rather than quality. 'Live' is an exception. The salads were fresh and plentiful; a hot soup was available; tasty hot items included beef, salmon, veal, chicken, pasta, scalloped potatoes, roasted root vegetables and more. Tasty cheeses (smoked gouda, cheddar and swiss) accompanied a varied of lovely desserts from fresh fruit, to berry and lemon pies, cakes and a delicious apple strudel. The server was excellent and my after dinner coffee was good too. I would highly recommend dinner here before a show at the Living Arts Centre or for a special occasion.
If you're looking for a venue to hold an intimate special event, you might want to give it a try. Certainly not inexpensive, but the food was lovely, and the service was excellent. The food on the buffet was very tasty. The staff were attentive. The decor was fine. I would definitely consider this venue again. Great job!
