Restaurant bewertenDon't get carried away with their Trout advert. It is a small tiny fish the size little bigger than a quarter plate that they serve for Rs 1000. Masala and grill is ok but the fish is very small.
I’m avid traveler because of my profession and travel interest and eat a lot in different places. But when I ate here, it was best Paneer Butter Masala and Veg Soup ever. Our attendant was super cool and so polite while serving us. Even the owner came in our table and gave us a very pleasant experience in this dine-in in Manali.
Very bad restaurant with high prices and not tasty food. long wait for order and very small portions.
Rejuvenate your taste buds! Mr Naresh Sood, now 70, started Mayur Restaurant in 1970, when the hippy culture was in vogue and the place is still very famous with foreigners. He was later joined by his younger brother Mr Rajesh Sood, in his 50s now. The kitchen has been solely managed by the brothers for last 50 years, in order to maintain the authenticity and taste-consistency of their preparations. Every delicacy served on your table is prepared by either one of them. They double up as owners as well as chefs to ensure that foodies get a uniform taste and perfect experience on every visit. On offer are the authentic dishes like Tandoori Trout, Chicken Tikka Masala, Rogan Josh, Chicken Rara, Sepu Bari (local veg delicacy) and much more. An added flavour to the food comes from the warm hospitality offered by the staff and owners alike. A unique specialty of a family run non-franchised business. Prices are bit on a higher side, but overall experience justifies the same. Senior Mr Sood was kind enough to share his experiences of building and keeping the place authentic for 50+ years, over a cup of coffee. Perfect close to a scrumptious dinner. Check out the place on your next visit to Manali and I am sure you will thank me later. Bon Appetite! Hit the like, if the review helped you. Follow me to know Himachal from inside. Himachal that matters to people who live here and the ones who come to enjoy the hills.
Great food, well served and comfortable sitting. Not crowded. Must try.
