Restaurant bewertenThis place made me feel like family. They also did not rush to make a decision (please ask me time to look at the menu). The owner came around and told me what she did last night, and she also told me how she watched her grandson. I felt like a real customer. You also have a specific server that is responsible for refilling water, which I have estimated. I ordered the Jitlada salad, a yellow curry with crispy pork and the mango curry with sticky rice. All these things were on my server's recommendation. I narrowed the options for him and asked him to surprise me. I was so pleasantly surprised! I never had a better mango sticky rice! Maybe the best curry I've ever experienced. Go to this place. Wait if you have to. It is worth leaving your little corner of LA to have some of the best Thai food available in this country.
Love the southern curry with crispy pork. The crying tiger beef is amazing. I have probably eaten here fifty times since 2017 and the highlight got an off-menu Jazzburger by Jazz itself:
Jitlada is a must to try not only because of Jonathan Gold's historical review, but that alone should give you an idea of what is to be expected here. The food could not be "precise" what is normally used, but it is really authentic for the region, southern spicy Thai! And it's delicious. What is also authentic is the Thai satisfaction, happiness and general country of smile service you 're sure to get. And I change my mood assessment to five stars. Why? Well, it's just replicas somewhere in Thailand. Not unusual, but real.
We really tried to like this place. As an Asian Australian pampered with Thai food in Sydney. We had great hopes in this place from all reviews and LA YouTube vloggers, but was unfortunately dropped for the following dishes we had. Ew was a little sloppy and the noodles had absolutely no Char on him, which is a must for every good Pad Lake Ew. Beef Larb was boiled and dry, tasteful from fish sauce. Jungle Curry with Pork ribs selected from the owner recommendation as we wanted to taste their speciality. Spice mirror was great, but it was too salty at the straight fish sauce. Mango sticky rice, I ordered it in hope of redemption, but was even more disappointed. The sticky rice was loose and similar rice pulp. It took more time to make it the coconut sauce, which we ourselves through mixing and let it sit for a few minutes. The mango was very upset, I didn't know why they would serve this court if they knew the mangoes weren't ripe? We couldn't finish this court. If Mangos are not in the season, most restaurants at home would usually not serve this dessert. For every visit from Sydney, Australia. Save your stomach for something else because I can almost guarantee that you are better back home. For these two know, this is Thai Pathong and Holy Basil prices for much less quality.
Really amazing Thai food! Everything we ordered was so tasty, but the yellow curry was SO GOOD. I have no idea what they did to the potatoes in it but my friends and I were in awe, probably some of the best potatoes I've had. They were so soft and buttery and honestly if I wasn't so full I would've ordered another round of yellow curry...
