Dzay - Lao Cai

Nice view. And the food is great too! We had some local dishes here, and there was nothing to complain about. We came back to drink the next day, enjoyed the landscape and had fun with the billiard pool. There were even places to spend the night upstairs. I have to be here next time!

Best onion soup I've ever tasted! Generally loaded with cheese on a slice of bread before the onion soup is revealed. Quoted from my friend — “I don’t even like onion and I don’t even like bread. But this is so good.” Also ordered the fried Pho and the recommended pig (the tasty arta like smokier charsiew. Onion soup was still the stand for me: they also serve a wonderful cinnamon tea — not a fan of cinnamon, but prefer it to the ginger!

Great place: Great food, fast service, very good staff speak a bit English. There is a pool and a safety ball to play. Cool atmosphere and decoration, good music (classic of 60’s-70’s rock), balcony with view.

Went here 3 times during my stay in Ta Van and I've got to say it was my favorite as far as food and beer go had a wonderful view too! Staff is very friendly , very fun place.

We've been here a couple of times, the staff are lovely and friendly and the young man has excellent English. They have DELICIOUS teas and the local beer is our new fave. The food has been amazing also, we've had fried rice with beef, chicken snitzels with some sort of home made relish gravy with a hint of spice and the omelet with bacon. All have been ridiculously tasty and very reasonably priced! Please make sure you stop in. It has a beautiful view out the back and a pool table. Don't worry if it's not busy, you won't be sorry you came here!
