The Silo - Lake Bluff

Great Pizza! We were seated right away during the dinner hour on a Saturday night in June. Our waitress was hospitable and knowledgeable about the menu. She was attentive to our table throughout the meal. Relaxed, family atmosphere with a lot of private corners for quieter conversation. Loved our visit and would return.

Pasta with meatballs makes me happy and I am very happy after this dinner. I started the meal with an order of fried mushrooms and finished with the pasta, now it's nap time. My wife had the half slab of ribs and she described them as being very tender and cooked to perfection. Pictures are below but don't do justice to the actual food. I will be back....got my eye on some pizza ..

Been coming to this landmark restaurant off on for well over 20 years now and never gets old. Not just a Lake Bluff favorite but a county favorite and even a Chicagoland wonder. Superb all around menu with a fine beer/cocktail/wine menu as well. This venue is not only bolstered by it's exceptional customer service but indeed has delicious food (especially the pizza) and a cool sports bar. The SILO is always busy whether it's flooded with takeout orders at lunchtime during the work week from customers of many nearby businesses like Abbott, Abbvie, car dealerships, etc. and any days they're open lunch or dinner. Always glad to support a local business and I wish the owner(s) continued success and prosperity.

The last time I was here, I was still in College. My parents came here all the time before they moved away. We came back because of a wedding and after driving all day, Pizza sounded pretty good. My dad suggested we go here and it was pretty good overall. I think the largest surprise for me was the thin buffalo chicken pizza. It was so great! Just the right amount of everything! Just need to find an excuse to visit family again now.

We arrived here near the end of the evening and they appeared to be a bit rushed/ behind. Tried the grinder but personally didn't care for it. Would like to come back and give the pizza a chance next time I'm in town. Seems to have a family feel so a good place to bring your kids after a baseball game.
