Restaurant bewertenThe Fika Café has a contemporary ambiance and the staff is extremely friendly. Guests have the option to dine indoors or outdoors. They offer a limited selection of vegan cakes and provide plant-based milk for coffee drinks (we chose oat milk). The cakes we tried, one with blueberry and one with chocolate and mandarin, were decent but not exceptional. The prices are on the higher side, with one small piece of cake costing around 5 Euros. However, the complimentary cucumber-lemon drink is delicious!
The selection of vegan pies at this restaurant is somewhat limited, but they do have some options available. It appears that their offerings may vary frequently. The coffee served here was excellent and by far the best we have had in Finland.
The service is good and the food is delicious, but the upstairs area and the restroom could use some freshening up. There isn't much else to say about it, but I wanted to share my experience with others.
What a gem in Jakobstad! This café is reminiscent of what you would find in a capital city, with fantastic outdoor seating, a modern interior, beautifully designed wooden furniture, comfortable seats, and cool lamps over every table. They offer a wide selection of cookies, cakes, baked goods, and hot drinks. The staff is super friendly and attentive, despite being very busy. It is not only a café, but also a shop selling household items. The name "fika" refers to coffee with all kinds of treats. I had the pleasure of experiencing a year's worth of fika in just 7 days with my family. I know from my experience at a Swedish fika café in Sydney, Australia, that cafes like this tend to be very popular. I highly recommend visiting this place on my next trip - I just hope I can snag a table!
