Restaurant bewertenThis pub was so much fun. For a Sunday night in Inverness I highly recommend it, live music, fun cocktail shots, service can be a bit slow but it's a very busy bar and a wait I'd a bit expected.
We had a really nice time, enjoyed the range of whiskey's you can taste and the staff was extremely friendly. Luckily that night there was a band playing live Scottish music, with dancing, it was great fun! Highly recommended if you are looking something authentic.
Nice place, the first impression is WOW but then you see the reception desk, which was well worn and tacky looking. It made me look for other faults. Really liked the leisure facilities, especially the outdoor hot tub and sauna. The bar area felt very welcoming and comfortable, 2 roaring coal fires. On a negative note the bar person had to hunt for a wine menu! Food was nice, although I had to ask for tge sourdough which was ment to accompany the prawn starter. Breakfast was nice, I didn't like the tea and the waitress changed it, no issue. Service was good. The beverage tray in the room was outstanding, really enjoyed tasting the various teas and the Tunnocks tea cakes/wafers.
Fabulous, fun atmosphere. Traditional Scottish bar with great live music, a good selection of whiskies and beer on tap. We were there on a Thursday and it was quite full when we arrived around 7:30pm. If you want to experience a true local bar, this is the place. It was recommended to us by several locals, and we're so glad we listened.
Quite simply if your in Inverness visit Gellions Friday evening the music is tremendous and my favorite although all the the other bands artists are great.
