Restaurant bewertenSome friends came to the city and we were looking for an Asian restaurant for 7 people (which on a Saturday evening you can imagine how hard they are! We found Satay Malaysian restaurant on Yelp and decided to check it. It was two when the 10 tables were filled. Jackpot! We sat right away. During our meal the restaurant was half filled. For our appetizer we have Roti with chicken cure, beef Satay and Calamari. You can never go wrong with Roti with Chicken Curry (and they definitely not disappointed! . The Calamari was perfectly fried and juicy. You didn't skip the meat! The beef Satay was tender and smokey, perfect for a start. For our dinner we had the combination of fried rice, Maggie Mee Goreong and Sizzling Pepper Chicken. Amazing! The Maggie Mee Goreong was very unique, it was not completely dry, but also not serious. It had the beautiful Malaysian taste. For dessert (yes, we managed to press it!) we had the fried ice cream and the fried bananas. The fried ice was good, but I even liked the fried bananas better. Overall, amazing food, amazing service. I did not want to write about this hidden jewel (at least hidden for me, but it was too good not to share!
Excellent Malaysian food. Had the Nasi Lemak and the taste was exactly right good size serving Rendang was very well the right amount of spices. The Mee siam was also good, not too sweet big menu, although a little expensive. In any case, we are looking forward to a return visit. Char kuey tow, Laksa, Saat So angry to see that they are now permanently closed
The second visit. Eating is always good. Excellent customer service. Our orders lasted longer than usual when we were there last time. I don't know why. They gave us free dessert, even though we didn't complain.
Mango chicken on the right side. Seafood soup left. Could have split soup between 2-3 people. Nice, but needed more herbs / depth of taste. Very much on a Monday post dinner. Clean Spacious Square with a beautiful layout that has been open for about 4 months. I used to go to Sushi Square and this is a welcome change.
Was brought here by a close friend who is a former resident of Singapore and said this is the best representation of the fare you would find in country. The food was above par and the service was superb, highly recommended.
