Nippon - Houston

As a flight attendant, I've had the opportunity to try sushi in many places, and I can confidently say this is the best I've ever had. The beef roll and Nioki roll are exceptional. While I typically prefer sushi over rolls, the Nioki roll has completely won me over.

I had a wonderful dining experience at this cozy, family-style Japanese restaurant. The food was fantastic; we enjoyed the seafood platter and the salmon teriyaki, both of which were delicious. It's definitely one of the best spots in the downtown area. The service was impeccable as well!

The starters were fantastic. The aged ashi tofu came beautifully adorned with bonito flakes. The yakitori was among the best I’ve ever had—it was incredibly tender and juicy, enhanced by a wonderfully rich sauce. The chirashi, which is safe for those with husk allergies, was delicious and visually appealing. The portion of Sukiyaki was quite generous, with glass noodles, vegetables, tofu, and beef all infused with a flavorful broth. Nippon is definitely worth a visit in the future. There are seating options available both indoors and outdoors. However, parking is somewhat limited, with around 10-15 spaces available on the side and at the back of the building.

Eating is wonderful and everything seems very authentic. also the prizes are great. I think this place probably has the best katsu curries in houston!

My favorite Japanese restaurant in Houston! The food quality is always good! You can’t find Futomaki often in Houston and they make the really great ones!
