Restaurant bewertenWas skeptical about the food here but was tempted to try it when a colleague rocked up to work one day with a Taiwanese jianbing (crepe) in hand and said it's his to go to breakfast when he's in a hurry. I tried the pork floss and mayo which was surprisingly good though I would have preferred it to be flakier. Loved the additional crunchy bits in the middle. Hope to try Mr Bing next time which comes with a fried dough! An alternate breakfast for me! theengineereats.com
Ordered Miss Kim lunch wrap which was a spicy pork kimchi wrap. The wrap was a thick crepe with an extra egg which was soft and yummy! The pork was tender and the spicy sauce was perfect. With an additional of crispy cracker this wrap is a perfect wrap for a grab to go lunch. grabandbites.com
Jianbing/Chinese Omelette wraps are a typical Chinese and Taiwanese morning brekkie snack which Griddle King has revamped into a full Breakfast, Snack, Lunch and Dinner menu! And boy are there some great choices here. There's a South East Asian mix of fillings to choose from. From the spiciness in Korean Pork dishes, to the Japanese Terriyaki, Taiwanese Sticky Rice or Taiwanese Fried Chicken there are so many combinations! Authentic flavours are not compromised as the “MISS KIM” with Korean Chilli Pork and Chilli Mayo delivers some super kickass zing! The Chunky pork pieces packed with a nice portion of sald. Thee JAPANESE KARAAGE pork with Terriyaki & Kewpie mayonaise is a new addition to the menu and was a nice contrast in sweetness – this is definitely bound to be a popular one! But this week there was also yet another addition! A new VEGETARIAN wrap filled with Taiwanese stick rice and a secret red sauce. Even if you arent vegetarian you could top this with pork floss, which I'm told by owner, Ron, would be the traditional way to have this in China or Taiwan! It's a cute little space which is designed for a quick order, and fast pickup but there is some seating. One of the attractions here is the open glass cases into the griddle station where you can watch your orders made from scratch. The dessert menu by Griddle pays homage to the omelette wraps origins of the north French crepe, which is much thinner. TIF toppings of sweet temptations they use include fresh strawberry, fresh banana, nutella, cream, butter sugar, walnuts and flavoured syrups! Dusted with Icing sugar we had the nutella cream and strawberry one! Beautiful finish to a great wrap! Loved the service here, quick, friendly and very accommodating! Keep an eye on this place – they regular feature new limited edition wraps so get in quick and try the new ones before they disappear!
