El Khayal Lebanese Restaurant

Had our family Sunday brunch at El Khayel today and it was nothing short of fantastic authentic Lebanese. We ordered falafel, lamb shawarma, hommos dips and bbq mixed platter. All reasonably priced and made fresh to order.

Delicious family style Lebanese food in this little restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere and this place feels like you are in welcomed to the family. We have been there a few times now and this place gives some of the bigger Lebanese restaurants a run for their money in terms of taste and value for money. Nothing too fancy just great food.

This Lebanese restaurant serves delicious food at very reasonable prices. Have sat in the restaurant but usually do a takeaway. The tabouli is chopped finely, the hummus and garlic sauce are always fresh and tasty (my mouth is watering as I write this). The falafels are consistently soft in the middle and cooked to perfection, never oily or dry or overcooked. Try the Shawarma, kebabs, Baba Ghanouj, everything is great, even the chips. And the flatbread is always fresh. I also love those pink pickles, picked turnips, and the preserved hot peppers. Try the lot.

This restaurant probably has one of the best Lebanese food very authentic and gives you that home made feeling. I have been coming here for years, and the food is always consistent. The prices are very competitive as well and great value for what you get on your plate. The one issue though, is that this restaurant is in need of a serious renovation, and the past few times my partner has been given cutlery that was unclean, which is a big let down.
