Restaurant bewertenCannot fault this place. As a group of 9 we were seated on a round table which is always great for larger groups. This place has fantastic views, so it is worth going while it's still light if possible. The menu isn't huge, but really has something for everyone. I had a special, kangaroo fillets with a cherry sauce. It was cooked perfectly. Still nice and pink, resulting in being lovely and tender. The waitress on the night was terrific. Cannot fault the service either.
Setting is very good overlooking the water. Atmosphere is busy, particularly if children are running free . Food was very good on both occasions, menu interesting, makes you want to come back to try something else. Wine list is very good, quality local wines. Pricing is sensible.
Very good food with views over the water. Pelicans help set the scene !Good selection of drinks , comfortable seats, great staff and pleasant outlook. Plenty of parking. We all had the special - excellent food, great value - the crumbed butterfish is very good .
We took our 93 year old Mum to her nursing home's Xmas lunch. The staff were lovely. The place was beautiful, the views magical and the cleanest bathrooms ever.We waited a while for food. When it came each table had to divide 2 different mains and desserts. If there are 8 people at a table then 4 had roast turkey and the other 4 had grilled barramundi. I had the grilled barramundi. It was aweful. The skin was slimy and not crisp. The fish seemed broiled not grilled and with no flavour. Not a lick of salt or pepper or anything. I tried it but had to leave it. The tartare sauce had a crust of yellow on top that i was too scared to sample. Dessert was the same thing. I had Xmas pud and custard which was the better of the two. The brandy snap basket would take a tooth or two out. Lucky the residents mostly had false teeth. We paid $30 @ head for soggy fish and 4 chips and a tiny salad which was drizzled with something from the supermarket bought by the gallon. We went to sing carols and have fun with the other residents and our elderly mum . They all enjoyed it I'm sure but it could have been so much more of a wonderful experience for us all.
We were a group of 10 friends and were placed on a round table which are great for conversing with the group. The view over the Murray looking up towards the bridge to Hindmarsh Island is fantastic, with numerous sailing boats weaving across the water. Meals were served as the sun was setting throwing a golden glow across Hindmarsh Island.
