Cavendish Brewery - Gastonia

Beer and dinner while on a business trip. I enjoyed the local eclecticism of the place. Friendly and most importantly, the beer was tasty. Worth a visit whether you are a local or a thirsty traveler.

Pizza is DANK! Dogs are more than welcome. Always have good beer on tap and just got liquor a few months ago! Something for everyone. Very friendly crowd.

We stopped here during a road trip and we were so glad we did! This place has great beers and fresh tasty food. You can customize your pizzas and they even honored my request for it to be extra crispy. The pretzel is great too. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and it’s ALL dog-friendly (yes, you can have the dogs inside too). Plus it’s far enough outside the Charlotte area so it isn’t super busy. Worth making a stop if you’re driving down I85!

The pizza here is to DIE for. If you haven’t had one you’re missing out on a flavorgasam in your mouth. I had the Big Greek and my boyfriend had just a “pepperoni”. He’s a northerner and they’re proud of their pizza out there and he devoured his. Every bite made my taste buds explode. 100% recommend.

I camped at the brewery using my Harvest Host membership. The bartenders, Tim and Angela, were exceptionally knowledgeable about the beers brewed on-site. Scot Cavendish was a fantastic host, and we also had the pleasure of meeting his uncle, Winston Cavendish, who famously voiced McGruff the Crime Dog back in the day. It was a delight to meet him! Overall, it’s a wonderful place to enjoy some great beer!
