Yokoso Japanese Steakhouse - Fredonia

The sushi was mediocre at best. The futo maki roll was missing some ingredients and was served inside out, with the nori on the inside instead of the outside. It definitely didn't measure up to the usual quality of takeout sushi. The menus were riddled with spelling mistakes, which is a minor issue but still noticeable. It also seemed like the waitress was doubled up as the cook, as we couldn't order more drinks until we received our food. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and the food wasn't that impressive.

The waitstaff is friendly, efficient, and not intrusive. I implore all restaurants to verbally check on the table once after bringing the plates and then simply pass by and check on the drinks afterwards. Speaking of plates, I had the sashimi. It was obviously fresh. There was very little fish odor, which is how it should be. It was very traditional and consequently, delicious. A small garden salad, and miso soup preceded the main dish; both of them were delicious. One my co-diners had a sushi plate, another, who in general does not like seafood, had chicken katsu and was pleased with it. The fourth diner had a steak and chicken dish that looked absolutely delicious to me. Although I usually will try something from the other plates, if offered the opportunity, I did not do so this time, except for a piece of sushi, because I did not want to ruin the joy on my tastebuds that was the sashimi. I want to return many times in order to try the expansive menu because it seems as if close attention is paid to everything done at Yokoso, in Fredonia.

Holy moly this place was 8/8 gr8 m8. Fast service clean resturant and boi oh boy it was good. A large plate of sushi miso soup and a salad for $20 nah no place gonna beat that. The fish tasted amazing and the hibachi was good too. If this place was closer would be a regular here. It was so clean and welcoming. Small groups of family with kids watching the show. And a group of college kids who were also enjoying it. None of these groups were loud either just a mishmash of people have fun and food.

Pleasant surprise! Good food, great choices and reasonably priced!

The sushi here is excellent! Today, we tried the Mt. Fuji, Yokoso, and Twins rolls, and they've all become our favorites!
