Restaurant bewertenSome nights you just feel like an easy, tasty dinner down at your local rather than venturing too far from home and this is where Sub’on comes in for those living on the lower North Shore – a modern Australian restaurant which serves up some interesting fusion flavours from its perch above the main shopping strip of Hunter’s Hill.
My friend and I needed to find a restaurant in Hunters Hill as it was a half way meeting point for us. Not being locals, we visited Sub’on based on its Trip Advisor reviews so glad we did! <br/ <br/ We had a delicious dinner and could not fault the food or service. The menu had a lot of choice Italian influences. It was hard to decide what to have. <br/ <br/ We shared the stuffed calamari for entree delicious! I had the crispy skin salmon for main (cooked perfectly) and my friend had the seafood pasta. The hand made pasta was beautiful. The rocket and parmesan salad we ordered as a side was fresh and generous. <br/ <br/ There is an outside seating area as well as indoor seating. Restaurant has a nice atmosphere. It is BYO only but there is a bottle shop right near the restaurant. There is also parking available at the rear. <br/ <br/ Service was friendly and welcoming. We thought prices were very reasonable given the quality of the food average of around $30 for a main. I couldn’t understand why the restaurant wasn’t busier given how great the food was. I understand Sub’on is also open for breakfast. <br/ <br/ Highly recommend you check out this Hunters Hill gem we will certainly be back!
We love the food and atmosphere, as well as the friendly staff. We nearly didn't try Sub on because it was kind of hard to tell what kind of restaurant it was, the sign is a little ambiguous, however we are very glad we did. We will be back!!
Came with a group of friends. Good food and friendly service, reasonably priced. Presentations is brilliant, will definitely return. Menu is a bit small but most dishes were good.
Georgeous Smart Surprise. What a fabulous local restaurant for the Hunters Hill area. Outstanding food and service, we were delighted with scallops, arancini, steak, lamb, pasta, fish and two delicious desserts. Coffee was terrific too. We asked for a quiet table and sat round the corner. Perfect for our table of 4. BYO a great option and we will definately visit again. Brilliant local at the right price. Jacquie
