Golden Palace - Fair Oaks

We have been coming to Golden Palace for years, maybe once every month or two. Recently, our favorites are been the wonton soup with extra wontons, crab and cheese rangoons, and occasionally the honey walnut shrimp. The food is always great and available quickly for pick up.

Ever since the Pandemic, the Golden Palace has ceased to provide what I consider to be good food. We ordered our final helping from here just today. The pan fried chow mein was simply too hard to eat. The chicken had a distinctly barbecued flavor which wasn 't expected. The pot stickers were tasteless. And the spring rolls were more like winter rolls with cabbage so hard and stringy it must have been grown last year. This is a real unfortunate turn of events as the Palace, at one time, was a go to place for us. Sorry to say, we won 't be returning.

Outstanding Chinese food, like really good! And service was good but it was take out only? Not sure if that's a regular thing but I went on a Sunday at 7:30 pm and it was take out only. Food was fire though, I didn't get any pictures though, I wish I did. Everything was amazing, esp the crab ragoons. Super good.
