Oishi Japan - Ewing

This is one of my favorite places for sushi.....very fresh tasting.

Hands down freshest and tastiest sushi around! We order from this place once every two weeks! 10 stars!

I used to frequent this place often. However, since the pandemic I havent had a chance to go. I went there for the first time today, and realized quick their customer setvice is nowhere near the same as it used to be. The girl that greeted me at the door couldnt even put my food in my hand, and when I said something about it, I assumed it was because of the language gap that she laughed it off, even tried to do the same when taking my money. Nope, I'm ok. She wasn't aware that I didnt want to touch her, no more than she wanted to touch me. I will not EVER go back there again. I refuse to spend my money where it or me are not appreciated. Called to speak with a manager, and got NOWHERE

The food here ranges from decent to quite good (3.5 to 4 stars), depending on what you choose. Like many others, I've had my share of customer service issues in the past. I still occasionally get takeout for their fried rice and tempura because it’s among the best in the area, but I used to order more frequently until I had a negative experience with one of their employees over the phone. Having been a patron for a while, I suspect there may be more than one problem employee. However, when I've dined in the restaurant, I haven’t encountered any issues. If I were to find a place with better food, I wouldn’t return, but unfortunately, the Ewing area doesn’t offer many good options for Chinese or Japanese cuisine.
