Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen - Elkhart

I loved it here, eating was amazing. the reason why I didn't give him a full five stars is that the cookie dessert I received was not completely boiled and was very smokey. they didn't invite me for what is great, so I should say that my full experience was amazing. would recommend!

Nice restaurant overall. The food was delicious and they serve great drinks. I had the ribeye steak with mashed potatoes and southern green beans (so good). And a maui margarita to wash it down, beautifully displayed and tasted just as good as it looked. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5, is our waitress was okay, but could have been better had to ask for a refill and napkins more than once). But, I would eat here again for sure. Oh and the spinach dip and buttered rolls are to die for

Food was great but it did take awhile. Our server was wonderful. We did have a issue at the greeters desk. He let a family go in before us because the man complained till that let them in. We waited for 30 minutes that family waited 3 minutes.

I was very excited about this restaurant because of the cool decorations. Sadly the food did not match the ambiance in terms of quality. The meal got off on the wrong foot with the famous croissants. They were undercooked inside and very oily, which gave me a turned stomach from the get-go. I can see why some people might enjoy the baked potato soup, but for me it was far too thick and way over salted. The cheese curds were pretty good, they were probably the best thing we got. The tenders were too salty. I have never had tenders that were so salty like that!

Could have been a 4 star place for me. I really liked the decorations and how the building looks like, however why is the food so salty? I just couldn't eat it. I got baked potato soup, chicken tender platter, and Wisconsin cheese bites. I was very sad because the food did look attractive but I just couldn't eat it. The only thing I could actually eat was the coleslaw side. My other problem with this place was its bathroom. Somehow it was really dirty and messy. I wish it was checked and cleaned more often. Even though the bathroom itself was pretty it was ruined by the mess. The service, on the other hand, was really good. The waitress was kind, nice, attentive, and very polite. Overall, I think this place has a really good potential. It's pretty, has a nice and cool fish tank, a lot of plants. Just please put real seaweed to the tank. The atmosphere really made me feel happy. It's just the food and the bathroom really disappointed me.
