Restaurant bewertenTried the noodle shops "Spicy Garlic & Prairie Pork" Ramen tonight. We just had take out so I can only give a partial review as take out is never as good as in house. The best part about their Ramen is their broth! My goodness it was good! The pork and all the toppings were excellent and haven't had better pork belly anywhere. Where it slightly feel down for me was their noodles. (Again it was take out) Their noodles were not as good as some other Ramen places I have reviewed. All in all I'd go again for their Broth and the pork belly!
Prairie Noodle is fine. My boyfriend and I have been trying to come here for a while, but it was always closed. We finally went there last night. This was my third visit. I've had the pork noodle on one occasion, and I had the veggie ramen last night. I'm not a huge fan of kimchi, and so I was coughing a bit on occasion. My boyfriend didn't notice any curry in his veggie noodle bowl and wasn't a fan of the broth.Service was okay. They do have really cute decor, and good prices, and use a lot of Albertan products, which I love.
I've been meaning to review this place for a while but kept forgetting. There's been a proliferation of Ramen joints in Edmonton lately and after a mediocre bowl tonight somewhere else I'm finally giving credit where credit is due.Firstly, the place is small so be prepared to wait or even not get a table at prime times. That said, it's worth the wait.We often start with the Bao'wich which are packed with flavor but the winner here is obviously the ramen. I've had the pork shio and the spicy garlic miso recently and the garlic is the winner for me, though both are great. One day I'll try the Gouda vegetarian alternative but I have a hard time getting away from the pork. Not the largest or cheapest ramen in town but definitely the most inspired and a strong contender for the tastiest (and I'm picky about my ramen). If you haven't gone, then go.
Came here with my boyfriend for late eats and was pleasantly surprised! The staff was super friendly and the soup was good too... The broth could've been a little more flavourful but my egg and pork was outstanding!!! Definitely better than other ramen shops in the city.
The ramen bowl presentation was very good. The restaurant atmosphere was very good. Service was very good. The one thing Prairie Noodle Shop needs to work on, I believe, is the broth. I have tasted better noodle broth in other ramen places in Edmonton. Without a good broth, it is not ramen!
