Baja Fresh - Dublin

We stopped by for a simple lunch in Dublin. Salads, chip and guacamole, and a couple of tacos. Nothing exciting about the food. We did not finished our food so naturally we asked for a to go box. The person at the counter did not have a box or anyway of packing our food to go. Even though there was clearly boxes and bags staged around the kitchen and counter. Poorservice.

Was looking forward to having Baja Fresh after not having it for years bc they closed in my area long ago?walked in and the man working behind the counter was extremely rude and condescending. My bf and I looked at each other after a few minutes anddecided we had to go somewhere else bc the vibes were so negative like this person wanted us to leave the establishment. I askeda simple question about the menu and the employee mentioned above answered in a condescending manner like I was the biggestinconvenience to even be there. Cannot wait to try a Baja Fresh again in a different location and hopefully have a goodexperience and not want to leave before I even order. Side note but important note we are a biracial couple. We often feelprejudice vibes in places where we feel unwelcome. I can?t confidently say this was not one of them. Terrible and dishearteningexperience. Make all people feel comfortable in your establishment.

Great size but my container for steak fajita wasn't close right so food is all over the bag. Steak is good but cold. My toltia is dry on edge.

Update: 8.7.22 Family went in for late lunch around 3pm. Soda fountain machine had more out of order signs than working dispensers. Felt badly for the employees as one young man was handling the entire front end while a young woman was handling theentire cook line. Overheard a customer speaking to the employee, bidding him a farewell. Turns out this Baja Fresh is closingpermanently tomorrow, August 8, 2022! No idea if another owner will come in and take this location over, but it seemed unlikelyfrom the conversation. Quite possible an entirely different restaurant will take the soon to be vacated space, but only timewill tell. This was really sad news as we have been coming to this location for many years. Once it had changed owners severalyears back, there was a distinct change in how the place was run. They did not keep the salsa bar filled, portions were muchsmaller, etc.. We had taken in a coupon which they gave us difficulty in honoring. Still, we feel badly that one of thehealthier restaurants in that shopping center will be gone now. Update: 8.2.22 Lots of changes . Our simple taco order was madeincorrectly with wrong protein. Several of the fountain drinks were out of order. There are no plastic utensils out anymore. Thesalsa bar has not returned although each patron is allowed three small plastic containers of salsa, which is probably enough formost people. Prices have gone up drastically though the portion was reasonable. No sliced jalapenos available anymore, or ifthey are, we came on the wrong day. Really don 't feel like the food is as tasty as it used to be. Maybe they have differentsuppliers, maybe they are cooked and spiced differently? We will go back one more time to see if this was just an off day beforewe go elsewhere, because we had had a good experience in the past with this location up until recently.

FANTASTIC SERVICE, Maria the Manager was EXCELLENT!! Maria, is Pleasant, Helpful, Courteous Knowledgeable. My Mexicano burrito with Carnitas Shrimp was One of The BEST Burritos of any Mexican Restaurant ???????? The place was incredibly Clean bathrooms well stocked Super Clean! I will Definitely eat here again when We are in Livermore.
