I was a bit concerned due to the mixed reviews. We decided to go with the tasting menu, if you go that route, expect your meal time to be around 2 1/2 hrs. I read some reviews complaining about the length of the service, if you want to spend just an hour having your meal, please go to a pinxos place, it is impossible to have a 6 course meal in less than 2 hrs. Food was good, some dishes better than others. Starters were ok. Nothing extraordinary. From those the spider crab took the lead. The sardines were a nice surprised, I personally do not like sardines, but these one were mild tasting and nicely paired with caramelized red peppers. My favorite dishes from the tasting menu were the egg in emmental sauce and the torrija. For my husband’s favorites the pork and the tuna. Food could be considered bland for some, flavorful for others. For me it was just right, Service was superb! The 5 staff members working the tables were extremely friendly. Bill for 2 tasting menus, wine pairing menu for 1 1 glass of wine, espresso and a cup of tea was 150 Euros. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: €70–80 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes: Slow Cooked Egg Service with Emmental Consomme
Complete tasting menu, highlighting the low-temperature egg with enmental broth and Donostiarra-style Txangurro. When you sit down they offer gazpacho with toast (invitation). Pairing of three wines; White txacoli from Guetaria is very good, red txacoli is a little more normal, and finally, Reserva Luis Cañas 2016 out of ten. With the bill and coffee they offer you some very delicious pastries (invitation). Very correct treatment. The restaurant can be somewhat narrow because it is accessed by going down stairs from the street, although the decoration is nice. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4
