Good ambience, great food which is tasty. Staffs offer excellent service and are polite. An excellent place to dine.
We live in Dindugal and eat here quite regularly with our two young children. The food is all of your normal mainstream Indian restaurant staples, but I wouldn't let that put you off, as the quality is consistently good. The Rathina Vilaas property in Dindugal is in an attractive property in the middle of the town. The tables are packed in quite a bit, so the place is quite noisy when it's busy. It is therefore better for family and group meals and a quick meal out with the other half, than for romantic meals for two. The service is good on the whole and the staff are helpful when you turn up with small children although being quite crowded, there's not much space for buggies etc, so try and leave them in the car if you can. They do run out of chairs fairly often, although I think you can reserve them when you book. The kids portions are quite big, so our 3 and 5 year olds often leave quite a bit of food on their plates. Overall, its the place we eat out at most often as a family, although we've managed to ditch the kids, there are other places in Dindugal that are a little more intimate and special. We were here with a group of Foreigner friends who were leaving here in Kodaikanal near Dindugal this week. The ambiance of this place is good . My friends enjoyed the food a lot and felt it was a different experience. The vegetarians had a full starter platter , which is a must try rather than getting confused ordering 2 or 3 starters. They have set meal and also a la carte. A must try in this place is the dessert - Jalebis. Ratina Vilaaas did complete justice by serving some awesome Jalebis .In total, food and the experience were memorable :)The service was good and the food was tasty and they obliged with omitting the chillies from my husbands choice of food and the menus are always the same But alas we didn't let it spoil our Day.Went here for with my family which was my family's choice. It is a pleasant place situated on the high streetThe service was good and meals reasonably priceI had meatballs with spaghetti and found it tasteless, it was very ordinary and forgettable
It was the ambience that attracted us.The classic photos of the great personalities and the chettinad cuisine. It was so neat and clean..food was yum we had a nice time. The hospitality they showed us made us feel homely. Would love to visit again and again. You can't ask for more.. they are truly incredible. Cheers to the team.
