Restaurant bewertenSame but different... but in a good way. The food here has remained constant over the years and now they've joined skip the dishes which is awesome for lunch delivery.
My family has been eating at New Ruby for at least 10 years. Today I ordered the New Ruby Special Chicken. That is not what I received, when I called them to complain thinking I got the wrong dish, I was informed it had changed and there is nothing he could do for me. The new dish is so spicy it’s not even edible. Will not be returning, ABSOLUTELY disgusting custom service!
Having moved from Coquitlam to North Delta, we were on the hunt for our new Chinese restaurant go-to. This place isn 't it, despite its longevity in the area. I really wanted this place to be our next hole-in-the-wall eatery, but it just didn 't cut it. The food is trying too hard to cater to Westernized Chinese cuisine to the extent where it 's ridiculous and almost comical. Standard house fried rice, and crispy house style chow mein arrived completely dark brown, an obvious sign of the use of a lot of soy sauce, and with little else aside from the odd bit of veg and meat. (Being Chinese, I 've never seen fried rice or chow mein ever looking like that. Sweet and sour pork was very grissly and greasy. Never mind the tired decor and tepid service. The food here didn 't fool any of us. We haven 't been back since.
It’s been a year since my last poor review of this restaurant, and nothing has changed....just picked up 2 dish orders, one just ok, one terrible. Sorry, but until I see a new management sign, or new cook, I won’t be back!! Simple blk bean n beef on rice noodles....beef tough, not flat big rice noodles, but very thin noodles, and no black bean sauce!! Tasteless, awful!!
Pretty standard stuff. Restaurant was clean and hostess was friendly. Food was ok but could be better
