Restaurant bewertenI visited the place with mi wife and from the very beginning we felt good attended. A nice lady guided us to the table and then another nice one brought the menu.. and so on all the night we felt very special. Since it is not all about the food we seriously recomend this place.. ohh and the food? It was excelent!! The whole american experience in your home town.
I went with my 5-year old and my mum to have dinner on New Year's eve. The service was excellent from even before booking the place. They explained everything included on this special night, and recommended a table indoors, even though I preferred outside... and indoors turned out to be the best decision, as outside it was too hot that night. It was difficult to find a restaurant open that night, as traditionally businesses are closed. Reservation was made for 9 PM, and we arrived early, to find everything already set. The place was fully staffed, which knowing how it usually is on a holiday, was a very pleasant surprise. The food was very good, what you would expect at a franchised steak house. I didn't have steak, and I've had better dishes, but everything was tasty and on time. By 11 PM it was absolutely full, and the air conditioning started to prove insufficient. Anyway, it had been one of the hottest days this summer... so what can you do, I guess. The location used to be a very famous Italian restaurant in the best neighborhood in town, so the kitchen, restrooms, dining room and bar are top notch. They kept the marble floors in the dining room and decorated the rest as a very American steak house. It's very functional too, you can see the kitchen from the dining room. A few minutes before midnight, champagne was served in all tables, and exactly at midnight, we all had a toast to the new year. It's not traditional in this country to go out on this night, or Christmas, but being only 3 at home made it a better idea than staying in. I left shortly after midnight, but for the guests at the other tables it looked like the night was just starting!! Most of the tables were big families (+10 people).
I went with my bf when we were visiting Córdoba, we had a great experience when we were in Buenos Aires and went to Kansas, that is almost the same kind of place as Tucson, American cuisine with argentinian ingredients, Kansas is definitely much better place, because all the food portions are huge there, the service is great and makes you feel you're in some restaurant the US but in Argentina. While in the other hand Tucson lacks of many things and is far from been a good restaurant, the place is really well decorated, the service was just awful the waiter took almost 20 min to take our order, we order some BBQ ribs and steak, with hot potato with bacon and cheese, it took another 30 min to get us our dinner, we almost drank all the bottle of wine we ordered, then when finally the food arrived the BBQ ribs were all bones with little pork to eat, it was almost like a leftover food that is intended for your dog, the steak was not so good, my bf barely could eat it all because it was like chew a gum, we asked the check and it was really expensive, wouldn't recommend it at all.
We decided to check this resturaunt out for lunch for the family. The place is very nice, and the food was very good, although we could not order the ribs, because they were out. The negatives are as follows, the waitress never brought us napkins or silverware, she was very slow, and we waited a long time for everything. We will come back, but I think they need to focus on costumer service much more.
We tried this place out as we saw that it was a new place near where we lived. We went for Dinner early (around 8 pm). Walking in, you immediately notice that this is a well-designed restaurant. "Bien puesto" as the Argentines would say.. good decor, lighting, fixtures, tables, etc. There is a bar area with seating and the restaurant is quite big, plenty of tables. Being able to see into the kitchen as the chefs are cooking and also the first refill on soft drinks gives this a feel of being in a North American restaurant. The menu is great, with a wide variety of options to choose from.. steaks, pastas, seafood, salads, etc. My wife ordered a filet of trout with grilled vegetables and when the food was served, the vegetables were cold. They did offer to heat them back up, but it was obvious that these vegetables had been grilled before hand and put in the refridgerator. During our meal we ordered a re-fill for our softdrinks and it took a long time for that to come. We had to ask several different waitors until it came finally.. I think they just kept forgetting about it or they didnt have the chain of service down yet. This is a new restaurant so maybe they are working out the "kinks" in the system. The menu also says that there is an English menu available, but when I asked to see it they said that it was not available yet. In the end, we liked the ambiance of the restaurant and feel that it has good potential, but we thought it was lacking in the service and food quality.
