Restaurant bewertenThe prime rib was really good. My husband ordered the slow-roasted turkey and he said it was good too. This is the kind of place you go to when you want homey favourites, it's probably not the place to go for trendy food, but there's definitely times when you just want some gravy and mashed potatoes, some veggies and roasted meat. My prime rib had excellent flavour and all of the staff were really nice. I also like that the desserts are not over-priced and they are yummy too.
Decent food affordable drink specials and free wifi make this one of my favourite places for a study session.
There was a wide variety of food to suit everyone. The service was excellent and very friendly. We had originally planned to go somewhere else but it would have been an hour wait and we found this restaurant within 2 blocks and were seated immediately. Highly recommend.
Our visit was a while back, but I remember it well. The service was good, our server (Stuart B. according to the receipt) was attentive and the right amount of friendliness. Unfortunately the food was average, not bad, but nothing stood out as great except for the chicken wings (they were very tasty). The other items that we had were: the onion tree, turkey dinner, and the steak & pasta - all being kind of average to unremarkable.Hope the overall experience is better if I visit again.
We went here for an early dinner and were very disappointed. There was no one else in the restaurant at the time, but instead of seating us next to the fireplace or somewhere nice, they sat us right by the front door and hostess station, so we could hear and witness every spat, discussion, boredom related nose picking fingernail filing, and shiver everytime the front door opened to the epic wind and rain outside. They got our order wrong but did fix it. The food when it finally arrived was pretty good, but by the time it came we just wanted eat and get the heck out of there.
