What a fabulous evening my friend I had in this restaurant to celebrate his birthday. iona was brilliant! well done! you really went beyond to make our evening special. thanks! only one question we had with the smoked haddock leek risotto. there was not much fish in it. other than the food quality portion size was impeccable! well made to all employees! can not wait, come back!

We have been to this restaurant quite a few times now when visiting the Lakes. The food is consistently excellent and the staff very attentive and friendly.

On a different night, we decided to try their takeaway service. We placed our order over the phone at 5:30pm and were told it would be ready by 7:40pm. Despite giving them 2 hours notice, when we arrived for pickup, our order had not even been started. We had to wait an additional half hour, and upon arriving home, we discovered one of the pizzas was incorrect. The food is decent, but the long wait times are not worth it. It seems they rely on the lack of competition in the area to survive.

We made a reservation for 4 adults and 2 dogs for the evening, as we had confirmed that they were allowed. We were initially seated outside while our table was being prepared. The waitress promptly took our drink and starter orders, and they arrived quickly and were delicious. However, after that, things took a turn for the worse. We waited for an hour before someone finally cleared our table and brought out our main dishes. We had to inquire about the delay, as other guests who arrived after us were already ordering and receiving their meals. While I don't mind waiting a reasonable amount of time, it felt like we were being ignored or forgotten. The staff were quick to bring the bill and request payment. Overall, it was a disappointing experience and had the potential to be much better.
