Restaurant bewertenI kept my son and the daughter-in-law rehearse dinner in due amici last weekend and let me tell them. abslutely amazing! from the planning with lexie to the friendly and fantastic employees it was a joy from beginning to end. and eating! wow! only delicious! I am so grateful that our event was held here and I cannot wait to go to dinner again! Many thanks for being so wonderful!
Cozy, romantic and delicious! we made a show in the Ohio Theatre. it was a short walk from the parking garage ohio state. the personal was welcoming and gave great recommendations to cocktails and menu items. the food and drinks were excellent and we loved the atmosphere. that means we were disappointed to learn that we could not enjoy happy hour because we did not sit in the lounge, which was confusing to say the least and really to stain the experience. we have to enjoy the big discount there early and had to pay the full price.
A group of about 15 of us celebrated the 40th birthday of our friend. my man and I started ordering a bottle of super Tuscan red wine. it was great and I think the price was around $30. I had a few bites of calamari and thought the taste was good. had a caesar salad and that was also delicious. We had both the chicken parmesan to eat. it was decent, but none of us loved it. a few dinners were lost so a few people in our party had to wait to eat. overall it was good. server was very knowledgeable. my friend had a wonderful birthday that was most important!
Drinks and service and atmosphere were great, but eating was seriously underseasoned. no detectable salt in the risotto, the pasta, the chicken, the meatball or the sauce. it is the basic error that a cook can make. caramel tiramisu was ok, but it really is not tiramisu without espresso or chocolate. very strange unprecise meal for a moderately expensive restaurant. at this price should be given delicious food. that would have been a moderate meal in an olive garden. but ride to the bartender, and the waitress was responsive and cheerful, although it seemed that the restaurant was somewhat understated.
My husband and I had our wedding at Due Amici and it ended up being the most amazing experience. We utilized both of their private event spaces for our big day and both were absolutely gorgeous and perfect for a small intimate wedding. Lexie, their private events manager, was an absolute angel to work with. She made my vision come to life, responded to emails promptly, and was on top of everything. I never had to ask for anything, it was just ready for us. My guests are still talking about how wonderful the food and service staff were a week later! They made us feel more like family than people using their space. The entire experience was above and beyond anything I could have dreamt every step of the way. I cannot recommend them enough. Due Amici will always have a special place in our hearts and we will return regularly to enjoy the best tiramisu I've ever tasted and reminisce about that incredible day. Do yourself a favor and go visit them, they will not disappoint.
