Restaurant bewertenMy partner and I had dinner at the bar on a slow Thursday evening. We've been to this restaurant a few times before. The gumbo had a delicious, rich roux base, and I enjoyed a draft Abita root beer. My partner ordered a hamburger, which was just okay, and the fries were lukewarm. Unfortunately, the fish and chips were a disappointment, with something dark and tough running down the center of the filets. When we pointed this out to the bartender, he didn't seem to know or care what it was. My fries were also lukewarm. The tartar sauce had an orange color and was not like traditional tartar sauce, which I didn't particularly enjoy. Despite this, the live music was enjoyable with a talented musician. We may return for the gumbo and try other dishes, but we will definitely not be ordering the fish and chips again.
Food was pretty good but I don’t think the service could’ve been worse. It was not very busy for a Saturday evening, 2-3 tables in our server’s section we had to remind her several times of drinks condiments ordered, she charged us for top shelf liquor but never asked what we wanted, brought out a wrong entree charged for it, never cleared the table of empty appetizers/plates. The service unfortunately made it an unpleasant experience.
Amazing food, fun cocktails and delightful live music!
Great casual creole with live music zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
This was our first time eating here and let me tell you we will be back! We ordered all the small plates to share with some appetizers and loved every single one of them. Our server, Meg was awesome with her energy and recommendations. The bar drinks were delicious (my fave was Sassy Fiona). I can’t say enough good things about this place!
