On the Rocks Restaurant - CHARLEVILLE

We had an awesome meal here! Highly recommend. The staff were great and the food was spot on. One of the best meals I've had this year.

Our mains of lamb rack with native spice dukkah and goat curry were delicious. The starter of duck spring rolls was also very good but the mixed arancini (4) had 3 the same and was a disappointingly monotonous. The new staff seemed overwhelmed and service was haphazard, not up to their previous standards.

Service, taste, meal size and atmosphere ... A1. Must visit when in town. Lamb Shank pie was the best I have ever had. Excellent selection of boutique beers. Service with a smile.

Talk about an oasis in the middle of nowhere.this restaurant ranks right up there with the best my wife and I have been to.we walked in and I thought we were in Manuka or Kingston or even Brisbane not Charleville in outback QLD.we had an open cheque book (courtesy of our son as a gift) so we were not limited to what we could not and could have.and we made the most of their fantastic menu and wine list.service was quick and very friendly.it got a bit too busy and two of the workers were dining out there as well so they hopped in and gave a few minutes of their time.a definite must do in Charleville.thanks for a great night

The Rocks offers great food, good service from smiling staff, and comfortable decor. It is located at the The Rocks Motel. I had a meal (rack of lamb) which was better than many meals in major metropolitan restaurants. If I lived closer, I would be a regular. I will just have to visit Charleville more often!
