Thai Boat - Calgary

This has been our favourite Thai restaurant for over a decade now. We judge every other Thai restaurant against Thai Boat and the others are always found to be lacking. The food is amazing and authentic and the service is always friendly and efficient. Do yourself a favour and go to Thai Boat. You will not regret it!

I was really craving some mango sticky rice. I decided to walk to the nearest Thai restaurant to my hotel to get it. If you don't know, mango sticky rice is a dessert made of sticky rice with a sweet (but not overly sweet) coconut syrup topped with sesame seeds and a slice or two of fresh and ripe mango. The dessert I got could barely be described as a dessert. The tiny portion of rice was topped with seeds but had no coconut syrup, which is really what makes the dish sweet and therefore, a dessert. The mango was as far from fresh as you could get. It was slimy, grayish green, and sour. It was basically pickled. Overall the dish hit none of the craving spots I was hoping. My mother's stir fry chicken came with no rice, was very spicy, but tasted decent.

We went with a group of 5, ordered the terminator for 4, different kind of delicious food, different meats, soups, vegetables, enough for all, the food was amazing, you are able to taste all kind from sweet to salty, and different condiments. The place have a nice Thai decoration, with a tropical feeling, great service, and fast, well located, enough parking spots.

Absolutely excellent everytime I come here. The food is amazing and the staff are very friendly. I would of shown the food but I ate it to quickly.

Whst an amazing find in Calgary. The industrial park setting does not reflect the atmosphere inside, the great service or the high quality Thai food. Great price and value too. Highly recommended.
