Alcove Cafe - Brisbane

Missed out on lunch as the kitchen closes and 2 PM and we simply lost time. However, the meals we saw being served looked delicious and appetising so will have to seek this place out on our next visit to Brisbane. We did, however, enjoy a coffee and a delightful and healthy slice to sustain us.

This cute little cafe always dishes up great food - and you always get LOTS of it! The coffee is consistently good and their menu has a few really interesting items with an almost Mediterranean flare. The seating is outdoors however they have plastic sails and heaters for cold/rainy days. A reliable favourite in the lovely little Kedron Brook precinct.

Alcove was just perfect. I had smashed avocado with poached eggs and salmon, while my boyfriend had it with bacon. We also tried the cakes which were very good (cheesecake and a caramel cake topped with chocolate). We will come back for sure.

My favourite breakfast/brunch spot in Brisbane, since moving nearby is my go to.Always friendly hosts, food is always delicious and multiple friends have been brought and also impressed. Working my way around the menu: mushrooms are delicious, beets and greens virtuous, specials (usually with a slow-roasted meat) filling, but I always find myself returning to Fergs choice! Smashed avo with everything.Specialist coffee menu is a hit with coffee-drinkers, and fresh juices are always refreshing.Few recent changes in staff, but so far keeping up the excellent standard

Lovely little Breaky/Brunch/Lunch cafe with a wholesome and scrumptious menu. The atmosphere is cottage style with rustic covered outdoor seating. The cafe is licensed so we were able to share a glass of red with our meal. Two of us ordered the 'Lambsie' with sour dough (check my pic) was very yummy and very filling! Our other friend had the Salmon Gravadlax with a lovely dill dressing, which she also enjoyed. Wonderful and friendly staff made for a great lunch! Thoroughly recommend :)
