Restaurant bewertenArrived at the diner at 11.30 and there was no queue. Several tables were free. A gentleman who appeared to be a manager (no uniform) showed us to a table for 2 and told us that the table was needed at 12 so we would have to be finished by then. He took away the menu said only cake toasted food was available. At that point we felt very rushed had to call a waitress over to take our order asap in view of our limited time. The waitress was lovely. We ordered a pot of tea for 2 and 2 toasted current Tcakes. Service was quick but we were only given 2 small butters and jam. Had to ask for more butter gave jam back. Total bill was over £16. I thought this was very expensive for our order. My main reason for only 1 star was because of the comment from the ‘manager’ that the table was needed at 12. Found that quite rude and unwelcoming!
Always delightful to visit Salts Mill have lunch in the lovely diner.
Regularly meet up with a group of friends here. Fast efficient service and good food. Good selection of reasonably priced meals and drinks.
This was a pleasant experience, as part of a Mother's Day visit to Salts Mill. Due to the open plan ex-factory floor environment it can be quite noisy, especially when it's busy. You can also expect a queue when it's busy, unless you book a table in advance. Service is good. Friendly and proficient. The menu is fairly modest but there is also a specials board to bolster the selection. The food is good, nothing particularly special but fresh and tasty. Portion sizes are reasonable as are the prices.
Went for lunch and everything was adequate but didn't really stand out. The prices were fairly expensive too.
