Restaurant bewertenSince the beginning of April, I have visited the same five restaurants multiple times. Today, I felt like trying something different. Hot dogs sounded enticing, so a quick Google search led me to Five Points Hot Dogs. I understand that many restaurants have had to adjust their hours due to COVID-19, and Five Points Hot Dogs was listed as open until 3:00 PM. It was 1:30 PM, and I figured I had plenty of time to stop by. I arrived in the parking lot at 1:40 PM and noticed the neon "Open" sign. As I looked through the front window, I saw a heart sitting on the counter. However, when I approached and greeted the gentleman inside, I realized he wasn’t enjoying a hot dog himself but was actually busy writing in a book. I waved and asked if they were closed. He looked at me, nodded his head, and gestured for me to leave. Feeling disappointed, I went over to Sneaky Pete's and bought two hot dogs instead. Thank you, Sneaky Pete's! I truly hope the other place stays afloat, but if that's how the owner treats customers, then that's just the reality. I had hoped they would close before their scheduled time, but now I know I won’t be trying them again. If you check out my other reviews, you’ll see how few negative ones I’ve written.
All the negative reviews about this place and its owner are completely justified. Here’s what I encountered during my visit: 1. The owner was extremely rude and exhibited racist behavior. 2. The food quality is unhealthy (as seen by the conditions in the kitchen). 3. The owner is greedy; he charged me more when he realized I had no other options. I strongly advise against visiting.
I had always noticed this place, but I never went inside until now, and I was pleasantly surprised by their hot dogs. They were also quite affordable! The staff was friendly, and my food was ready in no time. I will definitely give it another try. The workers were wearing masks and gloves, had hand sanitizer available, and took measures to minimize contact with customers.
Very friendly staff, fast service, cheap and tasty. they would not call it gourmet, but it is not trying to be just a good place to fall for a fat burger or chili dog. appropriate number of seats and dedicated parking spaces. many regular.
