Duke & Devines - Beaconsfield

We went there on a Monday afternoon. Place is cozy and beer is cold. Good selection of beer on tap. Salad with filet mignon was fresh and tasty and meat was cooked as ordered, medium rare. Fish tacos…..the menu said haddock….that was not haddock…..it tasted of fish but had the texture of dry chicken. Very disappointed. Our server was very nice, friendly and accommodating. The prices on the written menu are higher than on the website….. The bathroom needs a good scrubbing and a coat of paint!

Service was quick, friendly, and flexible. Food was well presented and tasty. Outside dining offers plenty of shade. Can also find inside.

Good food, great atmosphere, live music, friendly staff. We had a fantastic time and I am pleased to offer an excellent rating.

Our favorite restaurant. New years special. Lobster bisque great, salad good, surf turf cold, had to be reheated, strudel bad, champagne flat. Stick to what you do well. The only thing special about this meal was the price and being especially disappointing.

We ordered drinks, all three beers, 2 kinds, were flat. Sent them back to get slightly better but still not great. Ordered off the menu and the fries were black. Not overcooked but burnt. The fish tacos were so overcooked there was literally no fish inside the batter. The brisket sandwich was just thin-sliced roast beef in a very soggy bun, very bland. The service was good if a bit slow for a pub but all that beer-changing had some effect. The place was not busy when we first arrived. At some point, somebody cranked the music until it distorted with a speaker right behind my head. It really was the worst experience, saved only by my great companions.
