Solou - Baton Rouge

Visited during the restaurant week. salat, garnel and grumen was great, but unfortunately the steak was of steak and frying cold when it was served. service was very good.

It was a celebration for my 21st birthday! Although I can’t remember her name our Waitress was great. The food was amazing and the 3 for $30 course was very fulfilling for everyone. 100% recommended SoLou for any occasion.

Sunday Brunch ambiance was great and food was delicious. Reservation at 10:30, was seated early. Lipstick stain on glass but server immediately fixed the situation. Was guided through the menu with solid recommendations by the server. Beignets tasted too much like the oil that fried everything else. Shrimp and grits was incredible; shrimp were fresh, sauce well flavored and balanced. Alligator and grits was well cooked, and well seasoned, great flavor if not slightly heavy on the black pepper. Coffee was great, excellent juice selections for champagne bar, fresh fruit, and precious cotton candy treat before the check. Prices on check need adjusting to match menu; rounding up a penny on the check when advertised as —.99 can be a weights and measures issue….

Amazing food. Really attractive restaurant. Service was great. Only annoyance was the absolute overcrowdedness at the door. You can't hardly enter or exit without asking people to move.

Customer service was top tier! The food was delicious! I would definitely recommend them for either a special occasion or just a night out!
