Fine Mess Smokehouse - Athens

We were visiting Athens from Canada and enjoy BBQ. Having eaten the traditional Greek meals for over a week we were ready for a change. Fine Mess lived up to the strong reviews. Service was prompt and friendly, menu had lots of options (including specials) and the food was delicious. We recommend you try it. They really care about you and it showed in attentive service and good quality. It is nicely (mildly) smoked unlike some North American smokehouses that in my taste can overdo it. We had the Spinach Crunch, Gentlemen’s Mac and Brie on Fire, Brisket, Ribs, Flat Iron Steak and a pasta special. Our only negative comment was the ribs were on the fatty side. Brisket, steak and pasta were perfect. Thanks for a great meal.

Great concept, great food and atmosphere! We were visiting Athens from San Diego and found this restaurant on our last night in town. It was refreshingly different. We really enjoyed the whole experience. Definitely a must in Athens!
