Restaurant bewertenWe were seated with water within five minutes, and thanks to our clever waitress, our order—an All-American pizza and a speck/chicken calzone—was placed just 10 minutes later. Either we were especially hungry, or the food was exceptional; we’re going with the latter. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious! All three of us could not stop raving about the food. To summarize: the hot pizza was fantastic, the cold beer was refreshing, and the atmosphere was great. We all left feeling full, and the best part is we only spent under $40. We’ve definitely made a mental note to include Barley’s on our must-visit list whenever we’re in Asheville!
We ordered spaghetti and meatballs, as well as a steak and cheese sandwich. Our waiter was fantastic; he allowed us to sample the beer before we made our selection. Overall, it's an excellent place to dine.
The pizza was excellent. We ordered the large size for just $3 more than the medium, and it was the perfect amount for three hungry people. The French beer, a Kölsch, was decent but not particularly memorable. The atmosphere was a bit bland, which is why I can't give it a full five stars; it was quite quiet for an evening meal. The waitress was attentive and timed her visits well, but she seemed a bit annoyed when we asked for straws for our drinks. I would definitely recommend the pizza, though!
This is a fantastic, unpretentious spot located right across from the Aloft hotel and at the start of the Sound slope, where you can find all the breweries! Be sure to enjoy the incredible pizza here first before heading down the hill for a fun time at the fantastic breweries. We walked both during the day and at night and felt completely safe. The locals may try to scare you, but you'll be just fine. Erin was our bartender/server, and I can’t recommend her highly enough. I loved the great conversation and appreciated how she took the time to answer our questions as tourists.
The garlic knots are absolutely amazing! The service was excellent; when I couldn't decide on which cider to order, I was allowed to sample both. The medium cheese pizza was more than enough for two people. I think next time I'll just go for drinks and appetizers.
