Restaurant bewertenRecommended by family and I wasn't disappointed. The portions were generous and well presented, food was very tasty, staff were attentive and there was a nice cosy ambience about the place. I'd certainly dine here again and I'd definitely recommend.
I came here with my two nieces on a Thursday evening. I had heard great things about the one in Dunboyne and decided to try the one in Ashbourne as that was handier. We ordered the chicken to share to start in a barbecue sauce. Which were nice nice and a decent size portion. They came with celery sticks and garlic mayo or blue cheese dip. Not sure as I only found it after we had finished the wings it was on the far side of the plate and I couldn't see it! I ordered Lemon Chilli chicken pasta to be far it wasn't what I expected. I thought it would be drier and not as saucie. I feel it was a bad decision and if I went again I would not order it. The two girls ordered Arrabati(excuse my bad spelling) think thats what it was called with sundried tomatoes and basil. They enjoyed. Overall not sure I'd be rushing back as other restaurants in Ashbourne which I'd feel better. Staff were nice. For a family occasion it would be perfect as it's really big and geared for kids with coulour pencils and pictures for kids. Also the menu would suit children. Didn't see a high chair but sure they have them! Would suit a group of friends from work gathering. I'd definitely book in advance for a large number. On a date yes it would be okay, but if a man brought me here wouldn't think he had made an effort.
Visted here tonight after hearing that it was good for gluten free options. The food was incredible and the staff are amazing. On the online booking I mentioned that my partner is coeliac and that it's her birthday. When we got there we were brought to a table that already had a coeliac specific menu on it.. at the end of the meal, the waitress mentioned that she knew it was one of our birthdays and asked if we would like a complimentary drink. Overall a lovely experience and will definitely back.
I paid a visit to La Bucca with my family, four adults and three children. We went early evening and the place was buzzing with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. Jugs of water were placed on the tables, a practice I really love to see. I had honey BBQ ribs to start and they were out of this world. Soft, tasty meat just falling off the bone, absolutely the best ever! I finished with a delicious pizza and left feeling very full and content. The whole family felt the same as me a delicious dining experience that I want to experience again.
Always enjoy a regular visit to La Bucca Ashbourne, consistent high quality food and produce, excellent ambiance and great customer service. After a long week a really nice treat, thanks to all the team, keep doing what your doing, simple things are always welcome.
