Restaurant bewertenComfort food to the max. Considered pho but really wanted rice so opted for the pork chop rice dish. I wasn't planning on eating it all but it was so good it was gone in a second. Service was fast and I was the only one in there. Only downside is that prices are high. I don't think there was an entree (including pho) under $18.
Little restaurant has seating for 10 tables. Menu is fairly large and comes out very quickly. Service is friendly, bright, and attentive. The pho soup is not as rich and flavorful as Pho Lena, but it is very good. I like the toppings amount here more than Pho Lena. Spring rolls are crunchy and made to order. The peanut sauce they are served with is very good. Ordered the pho beef combo without the tripe or tendon. Beef was tender and there was lots of it in the bowl. Comes with onions and scallions in the soup. Ordered the Yellow curry with chicken to go. It was full of veggies and the sauce was very well paired. Not spicy at all for those who are worried about a spicy curry. Egg rolls are slender but full of veggies and pork. I liked the fresh rolls more than the egg rolls. Popular place with families.
My favorite is their papaya salad and tomato tofu. Service is fast and no waiting. The place is small but there are always table available every time i go there. The only down side is they don't take American express card.
This might have been the worst pho we've ever had. Sure, my wife is Vietnamese, so I'm a bit spoiled. However, the levels of oil in the broth made this inedible. Pho is supposed to take time and effort. That's why it's so popular. They did not put any time or effort into this broth. This was also WAY overpriced. If this is the only option in Anchorage, I'd suggest going without Vietnamese food.
They are always so quick with their to-go orders. This is an often stop on the way home for my family's last minute dinner plans. If you like pho, you'll love it here. They even pack it well for pick up.
