This is the kind of place where you can get a good example on how to eat in this region of Portugal. We had Vitela Assada and it was really well cooked. Both potatoes and vegetables tasted very well and the whole meal had that characteristic taste of the wood oven. The starters were also excellent and so was the dessert a plate of local cakes that were perfectly made. The only thing I didn´t like that much was the local red wine it is a better option to pick a bootle from the wine selection, that although more expensive, will certainly be worth it.
Although currently only open at weekends this is a place that you should try and get to if you are in the vicinity. Wonderful regional food and wine but the menu is limited to what is being cooked that day. The owner/ chef, Felipe, is very helpful and friendly. Our meal on the day was an all in one roast kid, potatoes and vegetables. The tapas style starters were also very good. An experience not to be missed.
