Restaurant bewertenStop of here to pick up a baked potato with a wide choice of fillings. Or maybe a pasta salad or a bulgar wheat salad all freshly made, take away or eat in, leaning on the narrow counter with a glass of wonderful fresh smoothie. Food prepared with love, English spoken and prices are great. Go there!
We stumbled across this place in Aix and the baked potatoes and gratin are amazing and so delicious!! Really good value, generous sizes, bonus gluten free for my coeliac boyfriend, and really nice, helpful staff. If you want a cheap but very satisfying lunch, would highly recommend!
I am currently visiting a friend in Aix, and he had recommended that we give this place a try. The restaurant is right off of one of the main streets, making it pretty convenient to reach, and the smaller size added to the comfortable atmosphere. The owner, who made our food and served us himself, was incredibly kind and helpful, even speaking in very clear English. The menu was varied and overall priced fairly, and the setup of the restaurant allowed me to watch my potato get made before my eyes. Served with a side of lettuce and balsamic vinaigrette, the potato was stuffed to the brim with toppings whose flavors complimented each other perfectly, The potato itself was also smooth and flavorful, and the whole package ended up being one of the best comfort food experiences I've had in my entire life. I would absolutely recommend BAKED to anyone staying in or visiting Aix en Provence.
Wandering thru the streets of Aix-en-Provence looking for some healthy, enjoyable food the wasn't spelt "hamburger" and stumbled onto to this little beauty in Rue Jacques De La Rogue. It has a great a great range of baked potatoes to choose from and the owner was very helpful in making my selection. Had to go a big "Broklyn" and it certainly didn't disappoint. Beautiful potato, cooked perfectly, with cherry tomatoes, onion, bacon and with a lovely sauce and a salad alongside. It's only been going a few months but if he keeps producing good value food like this he'll have to move to a bigger place. Do yourself a favour and check it out.
This quaint, unassuming niche restaurant in the South of France provides a refreshing change of pace from the stereotypical boulangeries and boucheries that line the street. The owner is extraordinarily kind, speaks English well (and provides an English menu), and loves casual conversation. The fluffy golden potatoes provide a welcome rush of warmth in the winter and, for the sweltering heat of summer, can be changed to a salad or sandwich. The toppings are all fresh and well-prepared and any combination is sure to please. As a student, the 10% discount was very useful and generous. Merci for an incredible afternoon meal!!!
