Restaurant bewertenThe staff was friendly and the service was unexpectedly fast, given the whole house. I ordered a Chai Tea. It came in a cup without handles, which made it difficult to drink until there were some cooled. I also ordered a few small, crispy and soft in the middle. They were accompanied by lemon cream, whipped cream and canned foods that were all delicious. On this cool summer day, after several hours of tour Aarhus, I found this teahouse a perfect place to relax and warm up.
If you appreciate tea, and I really appreciate the different types and take care of getting things right, then this is the place for you. The traditional Assam (I had the “CTC” is wonderfully strong with a touch of sweet. The stuff is the real deal. The scones have a buttery top and are served with canned, lemon curd and whipped cream (not drunk, sad! . It is not cheap but you pay for what you get.
It was a very excellent visit. The service was great and so was the food bar. Time stops when you're in Perchs.
We are espresso drinkers, but we could not resist this historic tea room and tea shop named after Danish tea retailer Niels Brock Perch. The interior is cozy and the food is well represented. With light lunch we had a prawn salad and an assortment of sandwiches, accompanied by a pouchkine and a Green Palace tea, as suggested by our friendly waitress. The food was good and both teas were excellent. But luxury comes at a price.
This is an absolute gem with a restaurant upstairs and downstairs shop selling the most amazing selection of teas. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in the restaurant and afterwards purchased a selection of teas. Would thoroughly recommend.
