We had the premium seafood platter with added lobster (although we knew lobster is pricey, after seeing on the bill that it cost $90 I'd say it probably wasn't a worthwhile addition despite being tasty). Everything was delicious and good quality. We ordered a side of potatoes which hadn't shown up halfway through our platter until I asked about them our server Nikhil apologised and had them rushed over and even removed the potatoes and an additional beer from the bill due to the slip-up. We hadn't even made a fuss about it so to see this level of service for a simple mistake was very impressive. Nikhil continued to be an excellent waiter throughout the whole evening. Finished with a tiramisu and semifreddo for dessert which were both very yum. Will definitely be returning another time to try out the steaks and other menu items! Only thing to note it's almost impossible to find a park around surrounding streets due to it being predominantly all permit zones. Make sure to allow yourself time before your booking. We ended up parking at the Woolworths a few streets over...

Weiterlesen The much anticipated visit to Bar Chulo did not disappoint. The décor is welcoming and the food was exceptional. There were 5 in our party and we had the Chef's 7 course sharing plate. The seafood paella was a highlight and the delicious sangria cooled...us down on a warm Melbourne night. Staff were attentive and informative without being intrusive. We will definitely be back.

Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir waren an einem Anlass und eine ältere Dame (Helga) war total liebenswürdig - bitte mehr davon! Das Essen war eher Mittelklasse - das können die sonst besser.

We booked a table for 3 for dinner by visiting the restaurant at lunch time. When we arrived there several hours later there were no tables prepared. We were sh... Weiterlesen We booked a table for 3 for dinner by visiting the restaurant at lunch time. When we arrived there several hours later there were no tables prepared. We were shoved into a corner table which was room for 1 diner and that's being kind. When we complained a staff member tried to interrupt other diners on a long table and shove us in between two other parties. When we told the staff this was unacceptable they again tried to shove us in the same corner and added another table to this space when there was barely room for 1 table. The staff member then accused me of being agitated, which of course after the way we'd been treated was the case. We eventually walked out. You'd think reserving a table for dinner would mean there'd be a table, apparently not.
