Restaurant bewertenWe have discussed here at least once every trip to zihuat in the last few years. we love the location, the cozy atmosphere and friendly, professional service. the menu seems really never to change. this trip was just a bit with you. the taste and quality of the presentation is always charming.
I do not know why this place is not in the top 5 for Zihuat! We celebrated a birthday here recently as it’s our favorite when visiting the area. They provided cute decorations and as always the food, drinks and service are perfecto!
The staff are very welcoming and allow you to watch them cook. The food was overall my favourite of all the restaurants we visited. The 7 deadly sins, the deserts where amazing. There are 7 to choose from and I had "empathy" a panacota with berry syrup. The surroundings were amazing and had loads of cultural aspects but organized in a contemporary manner. I was very content with this restaurant and it had reasonable prices.
We absolutely loved our dinner at La Gula! It was, perhaps the best we had on our ten day trip! The menu had a wide selection of vegetarian, seafood, and meat selections. The food was outstanding - we especially adored the Eggplant appetizer and the Grilled Octopus. As the sign outside declares: "Slow Food" be ready to spend an evening eating and enjoying your meal served at a leisurely pace. For us, this was a treat as it allowed our table of nine friends and family to visit and spend an entire evening sitting together over a gorgeous meal.
We decided to have desert and a drink one night and came back the next night for dinner. There is nothing fast about this restaurant..the sign even says "slow food" outside. Excellent gourmet food presentation and interesting flavor combinations. The kitchen is visible from your table as is the street below. Located upstairs so you have a nice breeze at night and no one trying to sell you things as you try to eat--except the guys selling roses--they get in everywhere!
